50th Class Reunion

October 5 & 6, 2012

Hello, Nevada, Missouri High School Class of '62

WOW! Can you believe it!   This website is ten years old!

And we're part of the ‘Older Generation’ It's time for our 50th Class Reunion.  Get these dates on your calendar and let's start making some plans to have a great time. 

Now that you have October 5th and 6th  2012 on your calendar here's some additional information.

Friday Evening October 5th – Bonnie (Smith) Teel will hold an Open House for us.  She has also said that some of the other classes like 1961 and 1963 are welcome to come and join-in our fun.  This should make for a very interesting evening.  Snacks will be provided and everyone is to bring their own beverage of choice.  (Casual attire)

Saturday October 6th - Meet at Nevada Country Club  about 4:00pm. (exact time to be announced).

Registration and Visiting Hour will be first.  

During this time, and while the light is still good, the class group photo will be taken.   Wynn Photography will be getting us all setup and taking the picture.  Cost for the class photo is: 
 For pick up at Wynn's Studio the cost will be  $15.00 each 
   Or, if you would like Wynn's to mail it to you the cost will be $17.00 each.

Wynn's will give each of us an envelope to self-addres or note that you will pick it up.  Payment will be placed in that envelope so bring cash.  DO NOT send money now for photos unless you are not planning to attend the reunion.   Mr. Wynn has asked that we provide a list with the names of classmates as they appear in the photo to be sent out with our picture.  (Good idea, I can never get faces straight with names.)  (Casual attire)

Dinner – 6:30pm

Buffet Menu looks something like this:  Round of Beef carved fresh, Ham carved fresh and Chicken St. Mortiz (Chicken breast hand breaded in bread crumbs, topped with ham and jack cheese and baked.)  Buffet includes: deluxe garden salad, fresh fruit, pasta salad, gelatin salad, potato, and rice pilaf.  Cake will be served as dessert.  

Cost per person including tip - $20.00.  Please have your check payable to NHS Class of 1962 to us no later than Sept. 6th.  Mail check to:  Shirley (Carpenter) Conley, 810 Timberbrook Dr., Nevada, Mo.  6477

You can get started now by sending information about yourself for the class booklet.  You can email it to jdhenson83@gmail.com or snail mail to June Henson at 20665 S. 1650 Rd., Nevada, MO 64772.   Tell us about yourself, your family (of course you won't forget those grandchildren!), your pets, your hobbies, your accomplishments, your goals and dreams for the futuren and whatever else you'd like to share with old friends. A current picture of yourself would also be welcome and will help prevent those stressful moments at the Reunion when we can't remember each others' names.   If you don't have a picture you like, click on our special Internet Camera to take your picture now.  However you choose to do it. . .
